Barua Sagar : Baruasagar is on the route to Khajuraho from Jhansi and about 24 kms from Jhansi, Baruasagar is the momentous place where in 1744 the clash between the Peshwas and the Bundelas soldiers was come to blows. This place is named so because, about 260 years past Raja Udit Singh of Orchha erected a great wall which result into the formation lake Barua Sagar Taal, that is how it got its name.
